Ms Natalia Kay is the proud owner and Registered Nutritionist at Nourish Bodywork and Wellbeing. It is Natalia’s goal to put your healing needs first, provide a high quality level of customer service and commitment to improving the health and wellness of all patients.
Natalia had a long career in Business Administration before making the change to Natural Health. After a long battle with digestive issues Natalia became aware of the many gaps in health care provided by GP’s and other western medicine trained practitioners. There didn’t seem to be any questions being asked by doctors but merely years of appointments and tests, all with no results or resolution. As a last resort, Natalia visited a Nutritionist who took the time to review her daily diet and lifestyle choices. A small change in the type of food Natalia was eating was the first step in improving her health, and after a few days, Natalia’s symptoms had cleared by 90%.
This was a clear indication to Natalia, that people need to be heard in order to be healed.
A Naturopathic Nutrition consultation is similar to seeing a Naturopath. Naturopaths and Nutritionists study together at the same tertiary institutions and learn the same subjects such as Anatomy & Physiology, Chemistry, Biochemistry and Pathophysiology & Symptomatology. There is a slight difference in course structure where Nutritionists do more study based on Nutritional Medicine and Mineral Therapy, whereas Naturopaths undertake Herbal Medicine training. Not everyone wants to drink a herbal mixture, but we all need to eat food. This is where Nutritionists can specialise in offering Food as Medicine in their treatment programs.
A Naturopathic Nutrition consultation takes time. Patients are asked questions about their diet, sleep patterns, digestive processes, previous medical history and stress levels. Natalia will assess you and create a custom treatment plan that's right for you.
We understand the importance of educating you on the most effective ways to take care of your body, so that you can heal quickly.
Some health issues Natalia has treated include: skin conditions such as acne, dermatitis and cold sores, IBS/IBD, anxiety, nutritional deficiencies, reflux, osteoarthritis, weight loss, pain management, glandular fever, colds/flu, detoxification, fatigue, congestion, sinus/throat infections, stress, menopause, hormonal imbalance and endometriosis.
